On Sunday 20th May, thirty staff and students took part in the annual North of England Cancer Fun Run at Gosforth Race Course. Schools and runners came together from across the North of England to raise money to support children who have cancer.
It was truly an incredible day, with over 11,000 people taking part. Participants had the opportunity to run 1, 3 or 5 miles. The staff and students of JSA were exceptional and took it all in their stride. There was so much going on throughout the day and it was a wonderful experience to be part of. Our students have raised over £1,000 (and we are still counting). The charity itself has raised over £30 million and we are delighted to be contributing to that total!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and students who took part, and parents and carers who came along to support our young people.
Bring on the 2019 Fun Run!
