On Wednesday the Academy had the fantastic opportunity to welcome a presenter from the award winning Positively Mad Education training company. Year 11 students had sessions on resilience and exam skills. Students were given a host of practical study and revision techniques to take away and use within their preparation for the upcoming GCSE exams.
The students also learnt physical techniques that can be used to combat and reduce the stress and anxiety which may occur during this important time. Students were provided with refreshments and a special year group lunch courtesy of our Head Teacher, Miss Scott. The engagement of the students was outstanding with everyone focussed and determined to learn as much as they possibly could from our guest speaker.
The feedback from the visiting presenter was hugely positive about how motivated, mature and caring our students were. We look forward to welcoming back Positively Mad in the near future to work with more of our students. Well done Year 11 – you were a real credit to the Academy.
